So every since I've been a part of the hair forums and watching youtude vids, I have put in some serious thought about transitioning my hair to natural. So far this weekend I will be two months post relaxer and my new growth feels so nice and curly and very easy to comb through. It's the relaxed part that is giving me a hard time, split ends, tangles and breakage. For the past week, I have been rockin, braid outs and loving it. Since I work out daily, I have to wash my hair at least twice a week.
Yesterday I did a midweek co-wash and I only combed my hair in the shower with my jilbere comb and then I applied my leave in condish and ORS moisture on my wet hair, braided it up and curled under the ends and went to bed. So, so simple, didn't have to worry about blowdrying and straightning it. This is still my little secret from my friends and most of my fam, they will have negative comments I know, especially my BF, we had a falling out over it back in October 08'. So, what I have decided to do it transition slowly, Im going to let my hair grow out and cut little by little. I'm goin to keep rockin' the braidouts and Im thinking of getting mig micro-braids, not the real skinny ones that will cause hair breakage, get those for about three months then take them out and see how much length of new growth I have.
This is a huge life decision for me, I just hope it goes as Ive planned. I not going to mention it to anyone really, Im just going to show them the results. I know it's going to look gorgeous....I'm in for the long haul...Well gotta get back to work now...Dueces

I was seriously thinking about getting a relaxer, then I found hair forums and hair boards and I learned soooo much. I'm definitely staying natural. Hope your journey is a good one!
